For those of you who read my post yesterday, this is not news. To everyone else...Heya! It's good to see you. Oh how I've missed blogging. As you may recall, I took the month of August off to focus my efforts on a manuscript that wasn't writing itself. (How dare it, right?!) I learned several things in the past month...
1. I was NO WHERE near as close to finishing as I thought I was. I can't even begin to describe the discouragement of realizing just how little I had accomplished in the past year of working on this project. BUT slowly, as I worked, I began to see how much I could accomplish with consistent effort.
2. It's almost cliched but only because it's so true: Nothing is worth accomplishing unless it takes real effort. So often in the past month I would just wish getting it done would be easier...then I was reminded that if it was, I'd be missing the point.
3. I have an amazingly patient husband. Nuf said.
4. AND after a month of hard work; in between organizing a new ward's Primary, preparing for a new school year, training for a fairly difficult sports event and juggling all my other hats, I really can see the completion of this project.
Which brings me to my previously promised September drawing. Anyone interested in reading a sample of my story? It will be very similar if not the same as the query He-Man and I will be preparing for independent publishers. Of course, it'll be accompanied by some other sort of loveliness. I'm so excited to share this with those who want to pick a piece of my brain...however odd and twisted it may be.
So, drop me a line either on here or on Facebook. I'll draw a name or two, or three, one week from tonight.
Thank you all for making this possible. I'm not sure I would have even had the encouragement to do this had no one expressed an interest in what I had to say. You're all the peachiest of peaches!
Love,
Trishy
Sooo glad a vast majority of people don't have walleyed vision. Otherwise I would be going around like this every time I tried to smile without my teeth. |
I like this one much better...teeth or not. |

I want to read it!! You' re so amazing
I would LOVE to read a sample!
I feel like I'm recovering from a month similar to yours, minus organizing a primary. I'd LOVE to be picked for your drawing, and I can't wait to read your book!
Pick me! Pick me!
There would be nothing more that I would like than to read your work! I have always found you inspiring and love the way you word things. If I am not a fortunate one to receive the sample, I will be pleased to buy it/them after publishing. I'm SO proud of you Trish!!!!
@ #1 - Don't be discouraged! Researching something like that is half the battle, and I know you've done tons of that. You're right, it wouldn't be worth it (or turn out nearly as good) without the hard work. You are amazing!!
You SO have to pick me! I read/write/edit every.single.day. It's my job, though I don't delve into anything near as exciting as a novel. Today's chosen topic? The Hottest Blonds in Hollywood. Can you believe they PAY me to go on about that nonsense?? bwa ha ha.
So cool!! I would love to read it for you, I've been dying for something new and exciting to read!
