The AWESOMENESS of my brother-in-law...

When I met my husband's family, there were 6 boys and one darling little girl. The whole family was instantly lovable, particularly He-Man's kid sister and youngest brothers.

I've become increasingly more impressed with the people these youngsters are becoming. (I say 'youngsters' with a bit of candor. They were only a few years younger than my very mature 15 years) They are good, kind and loving human beings with an incredible potential to do great good.

Recently, the youngest of He-Man's brothers came to live in the basement apartment of our home. It has been a fantastic experience and a great opportunity for our family to become reacquainted with him, who shall be referred to as Ron...since when I began reading the 'Harry Potter' he was who I envisioned Ronald Weasley to look like.

Ron laughs at all our jokes, however miserable the delivery is.

He's incredibly kind and loving to our children, even when redirecting behavior. In fact, he has swooped in and saved certain toddlers from seemingly eternal stinkiness by changing particular toddler's noxious diapers...even before we knew we were heading for disaster!

He's so willing to help. He's been watching my kids during my Cert, Garden and CPR classes recently. I was touched last night when he freed up his schedule just in case I planned to go to a class our community has been offering. (I was suffering from pregnancy-induced exhaustion and decided to stay home and catch up next week)

Not a night goes by when he doesn't compliment my cooking. He-Man is good at this too so put them together and I'm beginning to feel like a gourmet chef! Don't worry, I won't let it go to my head.

One of my favorite things is when we get to sit down and chat. He has amazing insights into the world because of his kindness and his generous spirit. I've never heard him say a negative thing about anyone!

So, today, I'm feeling particularly blessed to have him as my friend and brother and wanted to share.

You rock, Ron!
